Just a note, the Blackwater Pyrates do "Wet your whistle Wednesday" each and every Wednesday during the summer months.  In addition to that they do "Burn-it Sundays" (when announced by email) and they do a "lighted" boat parade once a month (on the full moon saturdays) in the Blackwater Bay or the Blackwater River.  They even hang out door knockers aong the coast to get people out on the docks - works great if you want to do it for your area.  At the end of the parade they raft up and pass lies, food and drink.  Good group - open to anyone who wants to join in without actually joining the pyrates..

Oh yea, then the do the big christmas lighted parade Dec 11 that has cash prizes.  This is the largest lighted boat parade in the panhandle.

Two ways, me and this web site: www.blackwaterpyrates.com. The pyrates are an active group on the blackwater. They are just a bunch of people who like the water - great group. Wet your whistle Wednesday gets slack as the weather gets colder. As for water activity, the next lighted boat parade is Dec 11 at the Riverwalk in Milton. That's run by the chamber, but the pyrates come early, raft together in the canal going to Reggie and share food and drink. You're more than welcome.

Looks like you guys and gals have a blast.

The 2011 River Cleanup up is 16 April.  We all mee at Bains Canal which is on Bain Road and Judge McCall Road in Milton.  All are welcome.  Come by boat or car (get on one of the Blackwater Pyrate Crew Boats.  We spend a couple of hours cleaning the sandbars and edge of the river, (The ship crew will be removing derelict boats that they have righted in the dead of night) and then it is on to the Blackwater Bistro where pyrate Swamp Yankee will be serving beer and brats for a buck!  It's going to be a great day!
