Boat Checklists and Logs

If you have your own boat, do you keep proper boat checklists and logs? This could be one of the most important things you ever do for yourself and your passengers when it comes to boating. For example, check lists are a great way for you to make sure you have everything that you need and that you follow proper safety precautions while on the boat or preparing to leave on the boat. Here are some examples of the types of boat checklists and logs you might keep:• Float plan• Ship log• Departure…See More

From my boat for sure because I'm not limited to where I can fish. My favorite way to fish from my boat is shark fishing at night.

Finding Quiet Beaches in Florida

Have you ever wanted to find a nice quiet piece of beach for yourself to enjoy? You might be surprised to know that the Florida coast has over 800 miles of beaches. That’s a TON of beaches to choose from but do you ever feel like you can’t find a quiet and peaceful one for anything?

This is partly because so many people from other parts of the country or even other parts of the world want to come to Florida, especially during the winter months where it might be cold where they are… Continue

Considering a fishing charter

So I've been thinking of doing a fishing charter somewhere in the area. I haven't been fishing in a long time and I don't really know the waters here as far as navigation goes. I have always loved an outdoors adventure and I think trying some different fishing charters will give me a better idea about what I can do on my own around here.

I love to fish but I'm not sure how confident I feel about going out on my own and I don't have my own boat, so I think a charter will be fun. I am… Continue

I read your post about the charter you were considering. I have been fishing offshore/inshore for many years and can tell you they are both fun but also very different. Like Henry said choose the one you are most interested in or try both over time and decide which you like the best. Its not just the catching just being out on the water and the things you see make it so much fun
