Hi Tom, Are you going by the ditch or offshore?  Either way, Panama City Marina is a full service marina.  Beyond the marina through the bascular bridge is Massialina Bayou, home to Bayou Joe's eatery.  Good food, you can tie off…

Howdy Rick, Good to see you here. Missed seeing you last weekend. Sailed two days in a row... but missed my slip mate. See you on the docks later. Hugs, Patti

When anchored at Fort McCrea if you are fortunate, you may enjoy a special viewing of the Navy's expert flying team the Blue Angels. Their practice field and station are just across the ICW from this safe anchorage. Talk about awesome, shot of…

Poor baby, you're just having all kinds of trouble this week finding a place to lay your head. First it was the too cool leaking boat in the really bad weather and now reduced to an air matress. Hopefully you'll find a home soon. LOL...…

I like that philosophy. I'm what my part-time sailing bud calls a "social sailor." Maybe you'll get to meet him when he's home. He fly's hot air balloons safari's in Kenya's Massai Mara. He also loves sailing…

Believe me, I'm about as laid back about things like that as I can be. Used to sail with my Dad and we had an understanding... I don't do spinnakers and if it's not flapping it's probably good! :)

Wow, good eye there Capt. Don. LOL... are you sure it wasn't 2.4 or 2.5 inches I need to move the traveler? So much to learn so little sailing time... See you in PC

Patti,
You will enjoy talking with my wife who is also learning to handle our boat. She took a brief sailing course last year, she is really better than she realizes, the biggest problem is just the sizeof our boat. You have a good sized boat youself. These size boats develope a lot of power so slow and easy is always my advice. I'll get Elaine to give you a shout.

Welcome Patti !
Dave and Elaine hope to see you out there. We sail our CSY 37 B out of Apalachee Bay. Maybe we can all meet in the middle come spring. We hope to take some time in April to head up/down the coast for a few days.

You're right it would have been wonderful to have your boat in Hawaii. When you all get ready for your trip to Applachicola holler. I'll try to have a welcome committee out for you at Hathaway bridge. LOL... or between there and Dupont. My boat is berthed at City Marina, Buoy, # 17. Wave as you go by. That's a great trip btw, except for Watapo Creek, which is very narrow... or maybe I'm just a fraidy cat... meeting a barge in that area would not be fun. Stay warm and think spring. I live in Milton Fl off the Escambia Bay near the I-10 Bridge. We are doing some maintenance this winter because I had the boat in storage for over 2 years while I was stationed in HI. It would have been great to have it there. We are looking at taking a trip to Apalachicola down the ICW this spring through Panama City and Destin. Hope to see you out on the water.
